Still, it has recently won over the hearts of culture aficionados through its numerous small-scale yet exciting cultural events. It includes the "Halloween" event, which enjoys nationwide recognition. At that time, the festival celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2018! Located near Darmstadt, Frankenstein Castle offers ample opportunities to marvel at art and history.

In September 2018, the Frankenstein Kulturfestival took place for the first time due to popular demand. This expansive series of events has been an astounding success. It reflects the immense cultural variety that festival goers can find in Rhine-Main-Neckar – from rock, pop, jazz, and folk music to theatre performances, poetry slams, and comedy shows through medieval festivals and outdoor movie screenings.
