G! Festival

Every year in mid to late July, before the Ólavsøka festivities begin, music lovers gather at the G! Festival for a weekend of unforgettable performances. Held on Eysturoy near the seaside village Gøta, this is one of two major music festivals that take place annually on the Faroe Islands. It was started by Sólarn Solmunde and Jón Tyril, two passionate musicians who were determined to showcase local talent from their beloved archipelago.
