The Gator by the Bay Festival, more popularly known as Mardi Gras in May, has become a tradition for individuals worldwide. Every year on Mothers' Day weekend (2nd weekend of May), this incredible Louisiana-themed music and food festival brings together attendees from California and 39 other US states, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia! Unsurprisingly, it's one of the most sought-after festivals in all of California!

Since its launch in 2001, Gator by the Bay Festival has blossomed into an event that offers a wide selection of musical genres. Attendees can enjoy everything from blues and salsa to zydeco, Cajun, and country music! It also features some of today's most accomplished singers - with many Grammy-winning Louisiana natives gracing the stage alongside esteemed Chicago and California blues musicians, rockabilly stars, roots performers, and award-winning Latin bands.

Hosted by San Diego's Bon Temps Social Club, this four-day event encompasses seven stages with over 100 musical performances for your entertainment. Enjoy mouthwatering Southern cuisine, such as 10,000 pounds of fresh crawfish imported from Louisiana. At the same time, you dance along to live music or join family activities at Spanish Landing Park on picturesque San Diego Bay near the airport.
