Every summer, Sherman, New York, comes alive as thousands of people flock to the Great Blue Heron Music Festival. Spanning over three days and nights each July, this annual event has become an eagerly awaited tradition with visitors from near and far.
From the Blue Heron's three stages, more than 30 bands and musicians perform a variety of genres. These include bluegrass, Cajun, folk, African music, reggae, Americana old-time music, Irish influences, and jam band sounds. Recently, there has been an increase in contemporary acts from outside the local scene participating in this celebration of incredible talent.
Spanning an incredible 300 acres, the festival grounds boast three stages that will take your breath away. The main stage is where you'll witness most of the daytime and headlining performances, while a separate dance tent also showcases some special acts throughout the event.
