Every august bank holiday weekend, Lancashire's Colne plays host to the beautiful Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival - a unique celebration of blues music.
Colne & Nelson Rugby Club will be the epicenter of this magical festival, and it also serves as a camping site! The town is idyllic for an event like this one, with its single main street closed off to traffic. Visitors can find all sorts of attractions, including on-street entertainment and performances, busking acts, delectable food stalls, bars, and more. With venues available from 50 to 750 capacity – there's something here for everybody!
With all of the music venues conveniently located near Main Street, this European contemporary blues event is not only a truly unique and beloved festival for locals but also unrivaled musical entertainment!
Thousands of people flocked to the 2017, 2018 & 2019 festivals, and it was evident that the festival had great adoration. Estimates suggested that 15,000-25,000 attended each year – a colossal turnout!
