2018 saw the commencement of the Highest Point Festival, a celebration in honor of Chris Glaba - late co-founder of A Wing and partner to Richard Dyer and Jamie Scahill. Moreover, he contributed to Skiddle as well. Unfortunately, Chris passed away after a swift fight against cancer in 2016.
Since A Wing began in 2014, the team envisioned organizing an annual music festival at Williamson Park. After the sad and untimely passing of Chris, who was a significant contributor to both A Wing and Hacienda Classical events, it became even more critical for the team to make this goal come alive.
The Chris Glaba Memorial Stage is an homage to his memory. Highest Point aspires to build a legacy music festival that will be integral to Lancaster's already impressive array of events and become something in which its citizens can rightfully take pride.
After a remarkable 2022, Highest Point Festival will return in May 2023 with an awe-inspiring lineup featuring three incredible headliners. This year's show will be one you want to attend!
The classic Manchester clubbing scene will come to life on Thursday, May 11th, as Hacienda Classical headlines the festival. On Friday night, Bastille arrives with their upbeat chart-topping tunes such as "Pompeii" and "Good Grief," sure to have everyone singing and dancing. Finally, Anne-Marie - one of the UK's most streamed artists - graces the stage with her infectious pop bangers for a weekend that you won't soon forget!
