Honky Tonk Eisenach

Honky Tonk Eisenach is a renowned festival that has gone all around Germany and even to Switzerland, visiting major cities such as Bad Salzuflen, Eisenach, Mühlhausen, and Lohr am Main. It began in Schweinfurt back in 1993, with the 1st edition of the Festival is highly successful, thus leading to its spread throughout not only German townships but also within Swiss borders.

Honky Tonk® is an exciting city-wide event that connects a wide array of venues, including clubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, and pubs. Artists from every imaginable musical genre perform together on the same night - blues, jazz, rock'n'roll, salsa, reggae, ska, hip hop, swing, tango, house music, folk music as well as country songs - all forms of popular live tunes will be showcased!

Honky Tonks are restaurants located in the southern United States that cater to leisurely drinking and live, homemade music. The expression is also used as a stylistic descriptor for popular blues music today, one example being honky-tonk piano playing, an intentionally off-tuned rendition of the instrument that can still be heard at many blues clubs across America.
