Since its inception in 1993, the Honky Tonk Festival has become one of Germany's most successful music events. After seeing the success of their first Schweinfurt event, Blues Agency brought this concept to cities all over Germany and Switzerland alike. In 2017, the media.con became the premier rights holder and organizer for Austria as well - thus making it a truly international sensation.

Honky Tonk is all about creating a musical, citywide experience! On one particular night of the week, people are welcome to come out and enjoy all types of popular music - from blues to rock'n'roll, reggae to ska, jazz, and hip hop.
