Impericon Festival Zürich

Since 2011, the Impericon Festival has been a hallmark event in Leipzig. An indoor alternative to Australia's famed Soundwave festival, it is renowned for its immersive atmosphere and an unparalleled lineup of artists. As one of Europe's premier music events, this festivity features something for everyone - from pop-punk favorites to metalcore newcomers!

Impericon Festival first debuted on May 7th, 2011, at Plant II in Leipzig with 1,500 guests. One year later, the festival shifted to AGRA on the Leipzig Exhibition Grounds and saw exponential growth for its second edition. 2013 marked a historic moment for Impericon; For the first time, it was held outside of Germany when Vienna's Gasometer opened its doors to host the festival's beloved festivalgoers!

For 2014, Impericon Festivals expanded to two locations in Germany and one in Austria and the United Kingdom. Impericon Festivals announced further expansion on October 7th of that same year for 2015 - with Oberhausen, Paris, Zurich, and Amsterdam added to their list of unique destinations. To further celebrate this momentous occasion, Cologne (Palladium) and Manchester (Ritz) also made appearances during this time frame!

Each year, the fair trade city welcomes 10,000 passionate music enthusiasts who come to revel in their favorite bands. As if that wasn't enough - this iconic event has traveled to six European countries for the past nine years! Now Impericon Festival attracts a whopping 20,000 visitors each year and has been attended by over 120,000 music lovers throughout its runtime, with more than one hundred remarkable acts gracing its stages.

April 14th, 2023, marks a momentous occasion as Impericon Festival celebrates its tenth edition in Zurich, Switzerland.
