International Gümüşlük Music Festival

The Gümüşlük International Music Festival and Academy take place in the picturesque village of Gümüşlük on Turkey's southwestern coast. This distinguished event was launched in 2004 as a series of concerts, yet it has grown to become an internationally acclaimed gathering point for established musicians and upcoming talent!

For ten glorious years, the concerts were held at a 250-year-old church. Yet in 2013, the festival found new life by relocating to an awe-inspiring Ancient Stone Quarry located in Koyunbaba, the identical quarry used to construct one of The Seven Wonders of the World! In addition to this excellent site, there are various venues around the Bodrum peninsula where attendees can enjoy music from nearby hotels and restaurants!

The Gümüşlük Festival Academy is designed to foster an inviting atmosphere that contrasts the traditional pressure of conservatory music schools. Teachers and students are encouraged to interact musically and socially in meaningful ways, allowing for growth on both creative and personal levels. This event occurs annually as part of the larger festival activities.
