The Ascona Jazz Festival, more commonly known as Jazz Ascona Festival, is a 10-day celebration of New Orleans jazz annually on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Switzerland. Music enthusiasts come together each year from late June to early July for an unforgettable experience, appreciating the unique sounds and rhythms emanating from world-renowned musicians while taking in beautiful scenery punctuated by a holiday atmosphere.

Under the guidance of Nicolas Gilliet, the Jazz Ascona Festival presents more than two hundred live concerts with three-hundred artists performing. Not only that - gospel choirs, jam sessions, exhibits, conferences, and films also make up part of this unique event's programming. You can expect around fifteen shows every day! Jazz Ascona Festival offers a full range of musical genres, from New Orleans jazz to swing music styles through blues, R&B, and soul – any genre related to African American influence is featured at this impressive festival.
