Lowell Folk Festival

In Downtown Lowell, you'll find the longest-running and biggest free Folk festival in all of America! Every year, this unique experience draws hundreds of thousands of visitors. The six producers: the City of Lowell, the Lowell Festival Foundation, Lowell National Historical Park, Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, Greater Lowell Chamber Of Commerce as well as National Council for Traditional Arts, ensure that each annual event takes place during the last weekend in July.

For three days, Downtown Lowell becomes a vibrant festival experience. Whether you prefer to stay put at one stage or roam between multiple venues, there is something for everyone! There are sunny and shady stages all around, with amazing performances by talented artists that will make you smile from ear to ear. Plus, the Family Activities Area offers fun crafts demonstrations and delicious ethnic foods so that you can have an enjoyable time.
