Masters of Rock

Masters of Rock is a thunderous Czech Republic heavy metal music festival that showcases the power, speed, and hard rock genres. The event also seeks to spread its wings by inviting artists from other styles, including progressive rock/metal, hardcore, death metal, and ska – allowing all types of fans to experience this epic production.

Every year, the Masters of Rock festival transpires in Vizovice of the Czech Republic. In the past, the festival has featured spectacular musicians such as Tarja Turunen, Manowar, Sweet, and Twisted Sister - to name a few! The list is never-ending: HammerFall, Stratovarius or Helloween; Gamma Ray or Nightwish; Rhapsody of Fire & Kreator. It continues to amaze the attendees with its lineup every year, including Edguy and Rage! Apocalyptica and Within Temptation have also shown their presence along with Children of Bodom and Avantasia. Accept Dream Theater Sebastian Bach Behemoth Amon Amarth Sabaton – these incredible bands explore it all at this eventful occasion each time!

In the summer of 2005, more than 20,000 people attended the Masters of Rock festival. This number increased to over 25,000 in 2006 and skyrocketed to 30,000 in 2007! The annual event occurs during the summer months, with a Winter morphosis occurring every November in Zlín. To honor Ronnie James Dio, who passed away that same year; in 2010, the festival proudly named its main stage after him.
