Nuclear War Now! Production is an exclusive metal record label and music distribution company owned by Yosuke Konishi. This music label is based in the vibrant city of Redwood City, Oakland. In 2001, Konishi utilized a MiniDisc recorder to record an electrifying performance by the Canadian black metal band Blasphemy. Upon obtaining the band's consent to release it on vinyl, he founded Nuclear War Now! Productions - where he has been juggling his primary job as a biotechnologist since then.
Nuclear War Now! Production primarily focuses on lesser-known black and death metal bands and reissuing out-of-print records and albums by now-defunct artists. Personal musical preferences guide the selection process while targeting European markets commercially. In 2009 and 2010, Nuclear War Now! Production hosted a three-day festival. Moreover, they distributed sound carriers from small labels such as Kyrck Productions (Greece) as well as fanzines like the final edition of Slayer - all courtesy of Nuclear War Now! Furthermore, to commemorate their 2012 event, they issued exclusive picture discs for attendees.
Building on the success of its past events, Nuclear War Now! Production is diligently preparing for its next NWN! Fest. It recently concluded a spirited performance in Tijuana, Mexico, and will be making a United States debut this April 2023 in San Marcos, Texas. This festivity will showcase some of music's most talented acts and provide an unforgettable experience for all involved.
