In the past, some young individuals from Béarn who loved music thought of organizing a music festival in their village to share their passion. This idea led to the establishment of the Loco-Motivés Association. Despite their lack of experience, the association managed to organize the event with the help of elected officials from the Bordes municipality who supported them.
The Pyrène Festival held its first successful edition in 2013. Since then, it has become a significant regional event. The festival boasts an ambitious program that includes both national and international artists. On Saturday evenings, visitors can enjoy reggae music, while on Friday evenings, there is a thematic evening with new themes every time.
The festival commits to environmental sustainability and supports local artisans by showcasing their products. The festival also offers a diverse selection of high-quality food and beverages, including beer, wine, and multiple food trucks.
The association's strength lies not only in its festival but also in its intergenerational dimension. Families can enjoy a children's area during the festival, and volunteers of all ages work to keep the association active throughout the year. The association also hosts other events throughout the year, such as garage sales, dinner concerts in spring, and musical evenings in autumn. These events allow locals and visitors to come together in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
