Following the catastrophic Rim Fire, which forced the Strawberry Music Festival to be canceled in 2013, a passionate group of Strawberrians united at Camp Navarro for an impromptu event called "Joy Kills Sorrow: An Alt-Strawberry Survival Party." This weekend was even more special than anticipated and sparked the creation of Redwood Ramble as an effort to continue what had begun with Joy Kills Sorrow.
