Rock Meets Classic Passau

After another delayed start, Rock meets Classic is finally ready to begin again in 2023. Joey Tempest from Europe and Dee Snider has signed on as headliners, while Uriah Heep's Mick Box and Bernie Shaw will be taking the stage to commemorate their 50th anniversary! All signs are going for a spectacular show that you won't want to miss.

Rock meets Classic has been a hit for over ten years, with 200 concerts in 8 countries hosted by 50 of the world's most celebrated rock musicians. From Ian Gillan of Deep Purple to Don Felder from the Eagles, these icons have serenaded an audience of over 600,000 lucky fans with timeless classics like "Smoke on the Water," "Schools Out," and "Hotel California."

Rock meets Classic has been Antenne Bayern's go-to rock show for the past decade. With its fantastic execution and constant development, it is a musical event of unrivaled quality. The festival has found incredible success in combining two distinctively different genres that wouldn't otherwise be associated with one another - but Rock meets Classic pulled it off! Thanks to the overwhelming support from Rock meets Classic long-term partner Antenne Bayern, this show will only improve over time.

The original has flourished and triumphed over all rivals with ease. The festival's very own Rock meets Classic Symphony Orchestra, along with the Mat Sinner Band, form the musical foundation of this extravagant performance featuring a cast of nearly one hundred individuals onstage and behind the scenes.

In recent years, Rock meets Classic has been able to entice some of the world's most renowned superstars, such as Ian Gillan, Alice Cooper, Michael Sadler, Francis Rossi, Rick Springfield, and Gianna Nannini, to join its mission.
