Rudolstadt-Festival

After its launch in 1991 under the name Tanz- und Folkfest, Rudolstadt-Festival has become one of Germany's premier folk, roots, and world music festivals. Held every first weekend of July in Rudolstadt/Thuringia, this renowned event lasts from Thursday evening until Sunday night. In 2016, it adopted its current namesake after being known by a different title since its inception.

This festival combines artistry and festivities, lively dance floors, and intimate courtyard concerts, setting sail between timeless tradition and daring experimentation! From pure folk to global fusion, club culture to ethno-jazz - everyone will find something special here! Up to 25,000 people come daily for concerts, workshops, talks, and exhibitions or even participate in the presentation of Germany's World Music Prize RUTH. Even kids can have fun with this imaginative children's festivity.
