Giske's Sommerfesten is a free one-day festival with roots back to 2003. This vibrant celebration of summer has grown in size and popularity since its inception, thanks to work carried out by Momentium. The festivities kick off at Staurneset on Giske Island off Ålesund, making it an ideal spot for music lovers from across Norway and beyond!

Sommerfesten på Giske is a shared celebration steeped in tradition for many years. People from all walks of life bring food to be prepared and served in the food tent, so everyone can take what they desire. Admission to Sommerfesten is complimentary. However, you are welcome to contribute an amount of your choosing through its donation box, the splice box.
