Started in 2007, Summer Soulstice is a U.K.-based outdoor festival dedicated to soul music and held near the summer solstice—the longest day of the year for those living in the northern hemisphere! This vibrant event has occurred annually since its inception in London's Borough of Barnet.
In honor of Andy Weekes, a beloved classic soul fan who passed away from cancer, and in tribute to him by his family and friends, the event was established annually at local venues. This festival will remain a treasured tradition for many years to come.
Volunteers have come together to organize a charitable event, with all proceeds benefiting Cherry Lodge Cancer Care. Highly acclaimed soul DJs and live acts such as Beggar and Co will be performing at the event, along with exciting dance performances and family-friendly activities. The inaugural celebration occurred at Barnet Elizabethans Rugby Football Club before moving to Old Elizabethans Memorial Playing Fields in Barnet for subsequent years.
Thousands of listeners can tune in for the event on EN5Radio, Solar Radio, and Stomp Radio. JJ Roofing Supplies has been a proud supporter for six years, with more than 4,000 visitors at each show!
