The Dixon Petunia Festival

Dixon Petunia Festival is an annual weekend event in Dixon that includes live music performances, carnival attractions, and parades throughout downtown. The event is held each year in the first week of July. In the late 1950s, it was created when Dutch elm disease destroyed most trees that lined the streets. With this festival comes an opportunity to gather with friends and family while commemorating history through festive fun!

This five-day festival is abundant with delight and amusement, offering a carnival, music, performances, parades for the family's pleasure, and an art exhibition - plus much more! For a thrilling climax to the celebration, the festival culminates in one of the most spectacular fireworks displays!

In 2023, Dixon Petunia Festival will return, offering a five-day family fun festival. The event will occur from June 30th until July 4th, jam-packed with excitement and entertainment in the downtown/riverfront area.
