Unterholz Festival

The Unterholz team is beyond delighted to host their festival for the 7th time on Hoheneckplatz in Pforzheim. The fantastic, one-day event will take place on July 1st of 2023!

The inspiration for this festival was born from Township Rebellion, a popular DJ duo that now plays music on global stages. Hailing from Pforzheim, they envisioned throwing an outdoor event back in 2015. They decided to call it Unterholz Festival due to its natural forest setting at Hoheneckplatz – the perfect spot for such an occasion!

Initially, only a small number of guests attended the event. However, it soon became apparent that Pforzheim and its neighboring areas lacked an adequate techno music festival scene. This led to what started as mere ideas for a party transforming into something far more extensive - with more people attending year after year and the organization becoming increasingly complex in formality and bureaucracy. Consequently, Unterholz-Verein was founded, whose rightful intention is not to generate profit from this venture but instead to have all members or helpers work exclusively voluntarily.

This year, they've prepared an esteemed selection that both seasoned electro fans and newcomers can look ahead to. As always, Township Rebellion from Pforzheim will be the headline act, with many other talented national and international performers accompanying them. Additionally, attendees are in for a treat since food trucks, and local restaurateurs have joined forces to offer an array of delicious cuisines and refreshing beverages at their bar stands!
