Uprising Festival

Uprising Festival is a major international music event held at Bratislava's stunning Zlaté Piesky recreation area. Uprising has established itself as one of Central Europe's most significant annual events, featuring some iconic artists from reggae, ska, and R&B genres. On August 25 and 26, 2023, the 16th edition of the festival will commence.

Uprising has become an integral part of Slovakia and surrounding countries each summer. From its beginnings in 2008, Uprising has grown to become the biggest reggae festival in this region and one of Europe's top 40 festivals. Its international following continues to grow year after year!

Uprising Festival is much more than just a reggae event. Spanning two days and featuring four main stages, Uprising provides an eclectic blend of genres from dancehall to dubstep, ragga-jungle & DnB, and numerous other miniature stages.

And it's not just about the music; it's a lifestyle that includes a wide range of leisure activities and events. Sports tournaments, dancehall, capoeira workshops, yoga & sound healing sessions or debates, stand-up acts, and creative courses await you! Outdoor street art galleries will captivate your eyes while tantalizing flavors from exotic cuisines satisfy your taste buds.

The most precious asset at Zlaté Piesky is its natural lake – with boat rental services, water bikes, and wakeboarding tows available to give you an unforgettable experience!

The organizers understand the importance of bringing joy to all age groups. That is why parents and families attending the festival can access a Kid's Zone populated with special programming and activities exclusively designed for children.
