Like the mythical phoenix, something solid and powerful emerged from nothing. It all began with a gang of brave lads led by Michel Rudolf (aka "Chibi"), some of whom were musicians, striving to create an event in Brienz during the 1980s. Despite difficulties along their journey, these determined individuals eventually accomplished their goal; thus, in 1988 came about the inaugural edition of the Brienzersee Rockfestival!
